Our Dental Practice Is Going Out of Network: What It Means for You

Effective January 1, 2024, Longmont Dental Loft will be out of network with all dental insurance providers. Delta Dental is the only insurance provider we’re currently in network with. However, we will continue to accept all dental insurance after January 1, 2024, so patients who have it may still receive benefits from it.
We understand there may be misconceptions about seeing an out-of-network dentist, so please read further to learn why we’re going out of network and to help answer any questions you may have.
Why We’re Going Out of Network
We’re going out of network because the value of insurance is in decline. Insurance companies often recommend less-than-ideal treatment for our patients and regard insurance more as a “coupon” or “bonus” feature than a preventative measure. At the same time, they often refuse to cover necessary treatment or alternative procedures. Because Longmont Dental Loft is committed to providing quality dental care and an exceptional experience for you, we will no longer allow insurance companies to decide what treatments or procedures we perform when this decision should be between you and your dentist.
Another important factor in our decision to go out of network is the hygienist shortage that is negatively impacting the dental industry.
What This Change Means for You if You Have Dental Insurance
Although any insurance you may have will be out of network with our practice beginning January 1, 2024, that doesn’t mean you won’t have insurance coverage through us. As an unrestricted provider, we will still accept your insurance when you’re out of network and file claims to your insurance company on your behalf. Additionally, there are surprising advantages to seeing an out-of-network dentist, which you may not know about.
Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Will you still file claims on my behalf?
A: Yes, we will file claims on your behalf, and you may still receive out-of-network insurance benefits.
Q: Will you still verify my dental benefits?
A: Yes, we will verify your dental benefits, as you can receive benefits out of network.
Q: Will I know how much my services cost?
